Memvariasikan tipe interface yang digunakan (Sub + Main Interface)

Metode Lab

  • Pada RM-R1 gunakan sub interface, dynamic mapping
  • Hapus subinterface pada RM-R2
  • Pada RM-R2 gunakan main interface, Inverse-ARP

Verifikasi Lab

  1. Pastikan pada RM-R1 frame-relay mapnya POINT-TO-POINT pada sub-interfacenya
  2. Pastikan pada RM-R2 frame-relay mapnya muncul DYNAMIC pada main interface

Di sisi RM-R1 sub-interface dynamic Mapping, sedangkan di sisi RM-R2 Main-interface, dynamic mapping

RM-R1(config-if)#encapsulation frame-relay
RM-R1(config-if)#int s0/0.2 point-to-point
RM-R1(config-subif)#ip addr 12.12.12.1 255.255.255.0

RM-R2(config)#no int s0/0.2

Cek mappingnya
RM-R1(config-fr-dlci)#do sh frame-relay map

RM-R2(config)#do sh frame-relay map
Serial0/0 (up): ip 12.12.12.1 dlci 201(0xC9,0x3090), dynamic,
              broadcast,, status defined, active

Description

  • Pada RM-R1 menggunakan point-to-point subinterface sedangkan pada RM-R2 menggunakan main interface
  • Pada RM-R1 tidak ada mapping terhadap IP karena point-to-point
  • Sedangkan pada RM-R2, terlihat bahwa DLCI 201 diberikan oleh Frame Relay Switching pada main interfacenya melalui LMI.
  • Setelah main interface dikonfigurasikan IP, maka frame-relay inverse-ARP request dikirim ke circuit yang kemudian router RM-R1 mereply dengan IP nya 12.12.12.1
